Priority Fund Raising

Jobs

If you are comfortable in a school setting and enjoy working with children, fundraising can be an extra source of income or a lifetime career. Hi. My name is John Gardner and I have been a fundraiser for 19 years. We are expanding and encourage you to read the information on this page. Then, you might want to read more about our company before contacting us to express interest.

We work with independent contractors, distributors already in fundraising, employee sales reps, parents, and students.

Independent Contractors

Part Time

We are always looking for independent contractors. Whether you are looking for a way to make a gradual career change, or you want to supplement your income, we can help.

Distributor: Pay as You Need Products/Services

If you are already a fundraising distributor, we offer a variety of services:

  • Brochures / Product / Prizes. Perhaps you like one of our custom brochures and want some protection in your area. Or maybe you like the way we combine the "best of the best" to make our brochure.
  • Order Tallying. Using our internally developed WinUltra software, we tally your orders and generate printouts with Your Name printed on them. Choose from a wide variety of reports available.
  • Tally + Prepack. In addition to tallying orders, we can pack the individual orders for you. We use our own WinScan program to verify order accuracy.

Distributor/Independent Contractor

If you are already a fundraiser, we can offer complete service so that you can do what you do best - sell. Check out our Priority Services. We are small enough to offer flexibility and large enough to have the facilities, the resources, and the manpower to provide the kind of service you need stay on the cutting edge of the industry.

Employee Sales Reps

Full Time

Employee sales reps enjoy several benefits that we cannot offer contractors or part-time personnel:

  • Protected territory
  • Unlimited toll-free support
  • Unlimited toll-free calls for advice
  • Free brochures
  • Free freight
  • Free periodical promotional mailings to area groups
  • Company bonuses (Thanksgiving bonus, Christmas bonus, Christmas banquet for the family, Longevity bonus, SEP-IRA plan after third year)

Payment options include draw against commission or straight commission. An employee rep devotes 100% of work time to this company and cannot represent any others.

For Parents

There are two types of parents that can work for us either part-time or full-time. Men and women? That works too, but not quite what we had in mind. If you fall into either of the following categories, I would like to hear from you.

1. The non-salesperson adult who could use some extra money just for telling others about our programs.

Okay, so you didn't go to sales school and you don't have years and years of sales experience. THAT'S OK. What you DO have, that we are interested in, is contacts and time.

  • Contacts. You know people . . . and that's worth something. Without becoming a full-time sales person, you can refer us to your friends who are fellow teachers, parent group volunteers, or in charge of groups in your area. Don't underestimate the value of a recommendation. We don't.
  • Time. If you have got enough time to go around to some of the schools and groups in your area, you can end up with a decent amount of extra cash if you are outside an areas where we have a rep. And you might conclude that it is a fun job. Go back and read our compensation structure for Independent Contractors, Distributor Contractors, and Employee Sales Reps.
  • Work at Home. Are you a stay-at-home mom or dad? Or do you have some time outside of your current job that you can spend developing another? Would you be interested in promoting our web site, making phone calls, sending faxes and email on our behalf?

2. The parent who wants to sell and keep the profit.

You have been taking brochures to work and showing them to your friends, but the money always goes somewhere else. What if you could keep a significant portion of what you collect? Not only do we have a variety of product programs for which you can collect orders, but we can also send you a variety of candy bars, such as Hershey's Resee's Peanut Butter Cups, Kit Kat, Almond Bars, and Krackel, or M&M's Plain or Peanut. You can purchase straight cases or our variety packs that come with an already pre-packed assortment.

We also have a variety of prizes, carnival and Christmas shop items that you can purchase and re-sell to schools and other types of groups.

And, something new for us, is that we are looking for people who might be interested in taking our products to flea markets and other community events where vendors can set up booths and sell.

For Teachers

I come from an educational background. I was a band director and my wife was a choral director. I understand the workings of the school and have a great respect for what you do. You know people in your school system who do fundraising projects. Depending on your level of involvement, I would be happy to pay a finder's fee or a sales commission for people who work with us because of your referral. We could even teach you enough about our programs that you can represent us at your school. Let's talk!

And, if you oversee a parent organization, you could earn additional profit by doing some of the work we do. Check out our Priority Direct services for more information.

For Students

You have been participating in fundraisers since you were a kid . . . what if you could sell and keep a considerable amount of the money for yourself? I can show you how.

Tell me about yourself, your experiences in fundraising and why you would be good at this. Be sure to include your age and address so I can send you a packet of brochures and other materials.

If you are under 18, be sure its okay with mom and dad (they can call me personally to check me out). For a great way to make money, call John at 1-800-FIRST-OK, or send an email.

For Group Sponsors

I got into fundraising because I was a band director for several years, and band directors are practically full-time fundraisers. I know the business from your perspective and from the distributor's perspective. Because I know how valuable the experience of having a fundraising sponsor is, I know your worth and value of your experience. You do not have to quit your day job to be involved in and make money from fundraising. Call 1-800-FIRST-OK and let's talk.

I Wanna Make Money

I started out as a band director for four years. I then left education to go into sales for a national fundraising company where I earned a commission.  But part of what I earned went back into that company to pay wages for office staff, managers, and the president (who had his own plane and pilot). I was at the bottom doing the work while they were at the top, getting a cut from what I did.

Believing I could do a better job in a smaller environment, I spent exactly one year working for a small distributor company as a rep. From there, it was only a small step to starting my own business.

If you're interested in making money from home using your computer or telephone -- or if you want to learn more about being a fundraising rep, let me know.

Local Hourly Office/Warehouse

We have a small warehouse in Huntington County between Huntington and Roanoke. During the fall we have people helping us on a packing line as we fill orders taken in fundraising programs. It is light work and requires no heavy lifting. It does require some extended time standing, however. All warehouse positions are currently filled.

If you have some computer experience and reasonable typing skills, we also need help with data entry processing, usually during the fall months of the school year. All data entry positions are currently filled.

Feel free to email me and indicate any questions you have or indicate what you are looking for.  We'll respond promptly. Thanks for your interest.
